Ivan Yacub

Mr. Yacub has been on the forefront of representing business and immigrants for more than two decades. An immigrant himself, Mr. Yacub, was born in Argentina and it is the head of Yacub Law Office.
Mr. Yacub creates an individualized strategy to protect immigrant’s interests with full knowledge of the chosen path. With published decisions from the Board of Immigration Appeals and the federal judiciary, Mr. Yacub has worked diligently in protecting the right of immigrants. He has filed numerous petitions for reviews in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. In addition, attorney Yacub has represented immigrants in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia and Maryland.
Mr. Yacub has proudly published articles in the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association Annual Conference and has been a guest speaker since 2000. He is a professor at the University of Virginia School of Law, Charlottesville.
Mr. Yacub has received awards from the United States House of Representatives and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association (Washington, DC chapter). His work takes him from the immigration courtrooms to the board rooms of business owners and talented professionals who either want to invest in the United States under the EB-5 program, get a green card under the EB-2 NIW program, or companies who want to sponsor qualified immigrants to work in the United States.
André Albuquerque Matias

Mr. Matias is a member of the firm’s business immigration and corporate services group. He advises individuals and companies in all aspects of U.S. immigration law, including in obtaining nonimmigrant visas and permanent residency for foreign investors and employees, as well as options available for students, trainees, athletes, artists, and other professionals. He is well-versed in issues relating to violations of U.S. immigration law and draws on his experience litigating complex cases before immigration tribunals to provide strategic solutions to irregular situations. In addition, he assists companies with immigration compliance matters by assessing and developing internal policies and conducting training and presentations.
Mr. Matias is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center where he was a recipient of various honors, including two Excellence for the Future Awards for highest academic achievement, an ABA scholarship, and recognition for exceptional pro bono service. Prior to practicing law, he was an Olympic athlete and a multiple medalist at international rowing events.
Mr. Matias is a native speaker of Portuguese and French and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Ryan Millett

Mr. Millett has successfully represented hundreds of clients in their removal defense. Mr. Millett has proven track record that includes wining at the Board of Immigration Appeals. Mr. Millett has extensive experience obtained asylum from both the Asylum Office and the Immigration Court. He has represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. His experience includes affirmative, defensive, and nunc pro tunc asylums, LPR and Non-LPR Cancellation of removal, MTRs, NACARA relief, LRIFA relief, Humanitarian Reinstatements, T Nonimmigrant Status relief, U Nonimmigrant Status relief, TPS relief, VAWA relief, 212, 601, 601-A, and 237(a)(1)(h) waivers, humanitarian parole, family-petitions, consular processing, naturalization, and I-360s.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Millett worked on discovery matters for complex litigation in Richmond, Virginia.
Prior to his undergraduate education, he lived and worked in El Salvador. He also interned in San Jose, Costa Rica, and in Madrid, Spain during law school.
Mr. Millett is fluent in English and Spanish.
Mr. Setlur joined the firm in 2023. His background in law and medicine gives him a unique advantage when representing clients in removal proceedings or at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. He has extensive research and writing experience through various types of legal appeals in the Health System. He was a Founding Member of the Hindu Students Association of IAU and the Indian Students Association in College Station, Texas.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Setlur worked with the D.C. Board of Medicine.
Mr. Setlur is fluent in English, Spanish, and Kannanda.

Cristian Garcia
Mr. Garcia has extensive experience in the practice of immigration law. Mr. Garcia has represented clients in their removal defense at the immigration court level and has accompanied clients to their interviews with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for a wide range of different applications, including affirmative asylum and adjustment of status. Mr. Garcia has also assisted clients through their appeal process with both the Board of Immigration Appeals and United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Being the child of two immigrant parents, Mr. Garcia has a deep passion for immigration law and ensuring that his clients achieve the best results possible under the circumstances. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garcia focused primarily on family-based immigration and successfully assisted countless clients in obtaining their lawful permanent residency or U.S. citizenship.
Mr. Garcia is a native speaker of Spanish and English.

Maria Clara Pardo
Ms. Pardo assists with the firm’s removal defense docket, working with other team members on complex immigration cases at the trial and appellate level. Ms. Pardo is a licensed attorney in Argentina and is currently reactivating her bar license in the United States after having been previously barred in the state of Louisiana. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pardo was an accomplished environmental lawyer in Argentina, recognized by Who’s Who and Best Lawyers for her work in environmental and natural resources law. Ms. Pardo has taught at universities in Buenos Aires, contributed to legal publications in Argentina, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and has been a featured panelist at numerous conferences and seminars in Latin America.
Ms. Pardo is a native speaker of Spanish and is fluent in English and French.
